Community and K12 Outreach

2025 K12

collaborations

In 2025, we collaborated with 7 K12 educators across the state of SD to plant milkweed gardens at their schools!  We planted the two parental milkweed species (Asclepias speciosa and Asclepias syriaca) and plan to track survival over the next few years. Many of these educators will also be using these plants  with their curriculum and student projects.

If you are interested in working with us to plant a milkweed garden (especially if you are in an area that hasn't been planted on the map) or implementing some newly developed curriculum, please share your contact information with us at the bottom of this page!
